This is the town where Ana and I grew up, and where we now live (together with some other 20,000 residents. We just started a new year, and trust the Lord to guide us in the work and decisions ahead. Life is uncertain, and there are many challenges ahead of us, yet we are in His hands. As the Heidelberg Catechism says it beautifully, our only comfort is that we are not our own, but belong both body and soul, in life and in death, to our faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.
After over 24 years of pilgrimage in the United States, today we arrived back in Romania to stay ... actually, to continue our pilgrimage. Our home and citizenship are neither here nor there but rather above, though for a while we have the privilege of being used of our Master here below - that is both our duty and our desire, i.e., to be instruments of God's grace among our people.
